The piece is a collage of well known Australian folk songs written in a lyrical style. The folk songs have been combined with a sense of technical brilliance and melodic tenderness.
It explores the different sonorities of warm Tuba, Baritone and Horn sounds in combination with more brassy and brighter Trombone, Cornet and Eb Cornet sounds.
